• Preliminary Examination: The initial phase is a preliminary written exam, which typically includes objective-type questions. It serves as a screening test to shortlist candidates for the next stage.
• Mains Examination: Candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam move on to the mains examination, which evaluates their knowledge in more depth. This section may include descriptive and multiple-choice questions.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• Candidates who clear the written examination will be required to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test to assess their physical fitness. This test includes activities such as running, long jump, and other physical tasks based on the CGPSC guidelines.
• Minimum physical standards for height, chest measurements (for male candidates), and other attributes are predefined.

3. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

• A Physical Measurement Test is conducted to verify if the candidates meet the required physical standards, such as height and chest measurements. Female candidates are also evaluated based on height.

4. Document Verification

• Shortlisted candidates from the PET/PMT will undergo document verification to validate their educational qualifications, identification, age proof, and other essential details.
• Candidates must present all original certificates and documents during this stage.

5. Interview / Personality Test

• In some cases, an interview or personality test may be conducted to assess the candidate’s suitability for the role. This stage evaluates communication skills, presence of mind, and other personality traits relevant to the position.

6. Medical Examination

• Candidates who successfully clear all the above stages will undergo a comprehensive medical examination to ensure they meet the medical standards set by the Chhattisgarh Police.

Final Selection and Merit List

• A final merit list will be prepared based on candidates’ overall performance in the written examination, physical tests, interview (if applicable), and document verification.
• Candidates ranked high on the merit list and meeting all other criteria will be offered the position.
