1. Nationality/Citizenship:

A candidate must be either:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia), or Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

Candidates belonging to categories other than Indian citizens must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

2. Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 27 years

Candidates born not before August 2, 1996, and not later than August 1, 2005, are eligible to apply. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

3. Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have passed the 12th Standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

For the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG), an additional requirement is:

  • Mathematics as a subject in the 12th Standard.

Candidates who are appearing in their 12th Standard examination are also eligible to apply, provided they acquire the essential qualification on or before August 1, 2024.

4. Physical Fitness:
